PORT INFORMATION NOTICE – TRADE   ISSUE DATE: June 21, 2010

SUBJECT:  Port Information Notice for Calexico Cargo Schedule for the upcoming Independence Day Holiday

DISTRIBUTION:       Calexico Trade Community

The purpose of this notice is to inform the trade community of the upcoming Independence Day Holiday. In coordination with the Administración General de Aduanas de Mexicali, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commercial Facility at Calexico will observe the following hours of operations:

                        Independence Day Holiday – Monday July 5, 2010: Holiday/Saturday Schedule

Northbound:

            10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.            Both Laden and empty trucks will be allowed entry; FAST included.

2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.             Laden trucks transporting perishable commodities, Laden FAST trucks and empty trucks

 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.            Primary gates will be closed; however, the cargo offices will remain open to finish processing entries and field inquires from the trade

Southbound:

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.            Both laden and empty trucks will be allowed entry

10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.            Inbond shipments

 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.             Empty trucks only

Keep in mind that the below listed commodities will not be allowed entry on this day:

                        Hazardous Materials

                        Bulk Merchandise

                        Scrap Material

                        Textiles

                        Commodities requiring visas or special permits

In addition, there will be no exportation of vehicles or processing of vehicle export documents.
